Dominic P. Tremblay, the Blogger

Dominic P. Tremblay began blogging in the field of K-12 education in 2007. Since then, he has compiled a collection of reviews and resources for teachers that are freely available on the web. He began blogging in French at first, finding resources that would interest French-Canadian teachers and students. Soon after, he added an English version of his blog to better serve English-Canadian teachers, as well as teachers in other English-speaking countries. In 2009, he partnered with teachers and translators to provide resources for teachers in Spanish, Portuguese and Russian.

His interest in computers and information technology led to the launch of a blog entitled “Mac Essentials”. This blog is intended to help new users of Mac computers in choosing free apps that are essentials to their productivity. It also provides information on the Mac equivalents to Windows programs. The blog also covers strategies for properly backing up important data and keep it safe—an issue that is particularly important for teachers who must maintain large quantities of documents, photos and videos that are integral to their curriculum.

Dominic is always looking for new ideas in the blogosphere. One of his goals for the future is to produce his blogs in more languages in order to reach more teachers across the globe.

Stay tuned for his new blogging projects.
